Hi Callum, Yes, if you have a week in Egypt and are most interested in spending some time in Alexandria archaeological sites, I’d probably recommend maybe 4 days in Cairo and then 3 in Alexandria. I think you could see all the main archaeological sites plus explore other highlights (beaches, library, gardens, museums) in 3 days.

Coming all that way for 2 or 3 days is crazy. You’ll want at the very least 4 and preferably 5 or 6 days on the ground there. If you have 5 or 6, I’d recommend spending 2 in Cairo, an overnight in Luxor, and taking a day trip up to Alexandria from Cairo. If you have longer you can stay overnight in Alex too.

for cairo you may need max of 3 tour days, Alexandria is enough with 1 day while for suez is also ok 1 day transportation is better to be with a private hired car , if is expensive for you then you may use train to go to Alex or public bus to go to Suez even if I do not recommend the public bus choice
